Four types of sentences
Declarative sentence
A sentence that makes a statement or states a fact.
It ends with a period.
Examples:
She is beautiful.
The door is open.
She will go to the market tomorrow.
Interrogative sentence
A sentence that asks a question or make a request for information.
It ends with a question mark (?).
examples:
What is that?
Are you angry?
What is your name?
Imperative sentence
A sentence that gives a command or gives a request to do something.
examples:
Sit down.
Go to your room.
Please read the sentence.
Exclamatory sentence
A sentence containing exclamation or strong emphasis or emotion
It ends with an exclamation mark (!).
Examples:
Yahoo! We won.
Oh no!
Very good!
